Test Aim True

So, here’s my latest illustration. Hope you like it.

This took me quite a while to finish. Free time is scarce, but what else am I gonna do with it, right?

Which kind of brings a subject to mind… I wish I had a dollar for every time I heard someone say they couldn’t do something because they just don’t have any time. Now, for some folks that may be a legitimate claim, but I’m sure the number is very few. For most folks, however, that is just an excuse.

I work a full time job that has me in my cubicle sometimes into the wee hours, I have a family, and I’m heavily involved with my church. Free time is a luxury, but I hear this kind of thing coming from single folks with no families all the time. (People who very often don’t even have my 3 hour daily commute.) What gives?

Turn off the TV, tell your hang out buddies “not tonight”, and do something great! Even if you can only chip away at it little by little, night after night, before you know it you’ll have something you might very well be proud of… and something that just might make a difference to someone.

I dunno. I’m tired of excuses. (And that includes those I make for myself.)

So, as for this piece, I’m not sure how I feel about it. I think I like it- I’m not sure- but it’s the best I can do for now. What do you think?

By the way, the writing on the archer’s forearm guard is Khmer (Cambodian) for “Aim True“. The English transliteration of that would be “Dtom Rong Oye Ptiet” …but don’t ask me to pronounce it. I can’t.

So… on to the next piece!
